About Lapis Counseling
Lapis Counseling was founded in 2024 and is dedicated to the wellness of all persons seeking support and mental health services, and all persons are welcome here!

My goals is to help clients explore and accept all parts of yourself, so that you can become the best version of yourself, and return to living a full, whole life.

My passion is helping those who are survivors of trauma who are living with post-traumatic stress and dissociative disorders to heal and return to a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I also have specialized in helping those living with ADHD, anxiety, and those struggling with relationship issues.

Through a combination of multiple modalities, including trauma focused-cognitive behavioral techniques (TF-CBT), dialectical behavioral techniques (DBT), mindfulness strategies, cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we will work together to help you understand all parts of yourself so that you are able to feel whole.
About Nick Meister
My name is Nick Meister and I am the founder of Lapis Counseling. I have eight years of experience working in the mental health field, in both community mental health and private practice settings. ​

I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron in 2018, and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Designation in Ohio, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina.
Services
At Lapis Counseling, we know that everyone’s journey toward healing is different and requires various approaches in therapy. Therapy sessions are rooted in evidence-based practices and are tailored to meet your specific needs. I pride myself on being a warm, interactive, and empathetic clinician, allowing me to understand and meet you where you are at so we can accomplish your goals together!
I provide individual counseling to adults 18+ who are struggling with the following: trauma and post-traumatic stress, dissociative disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship concerns, phase of life transitions, and LGBTQIA+ issues.
Self-Pay Rates and Insurance
My goal is to make sure that therapy is as accessible as possible, for all persons, and we have multiple options to help accomplish this goal!

For insurance coverage, you will find a list of insurances that I am in-network with below. I am also able to provide you with a super-bill if I am out of network so that you can utilize any out of network benefits.

I also offer self-pay rates, including sliding scale opportunities based upon your income (if applicable).
