Telehealth Information and FAQ

  • What are telehealth services?

Telehealth services are when the client and the clinician are at different locations at the time the service is occuring. We use a HIPAA compliant platform to conduct telehealth sessions.

  • Where do i have to be for appointments?

We ask that you are in a private room/location where you will not be disturbed during your appointment. You can not be driving during appointments, however if you are in your vehicle for whatever reason, you must be stationary.

  • What about if I go on vacation?

Telehealth services are considered to occur at the location of the client at the time of the service. Since I am currently only licensed in the state of Ohio, if you leave the state for vacation/work trip/etc., we can not have any appointments until you return.

  • Is telehealth right for me?

Telehealth services have been researched and shown to be just as effective as in person counseling! However, there are some cases where telehealth services are not appropriate which would be discussed during your initial consultation.

  • EMDR

EMDR is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, which is one of the very effective evidence based therapies for the treatment of trauma. This can be completed via telehealth services! If you are interested in EMDR, please let me know and we can discuss if EMDR would be helpful for you.

  • Do you work with children?

At this time, we only work with adults, 18 and up.
